I hooked up the fan to a Lionel 12 Volt transformer. Lionel transformers are AC but the fan still spun. The unit will need some work so I am selling it "as is" for parts or repair. Certainly will need a good cleaning. The unit doesn't hold its position upright, hopefully that is just straightening out the hardware and tightening up the bolt. Last few pictures show the fan hooked up to the transformer.
