Threads are normal right-hand threads for all ball joints. The steel ball ends in the pictures are what you will receive - there are pictures of extra stuff to give you more information: pictures of them next to the OEM plastic assemblies, a pic of them installed in my BJ40 and a general exploded diagram with the rod assemblies of interest circled in red.
