Coolant TEMP SENSOR. REPLACE THAT FAULTY ORIGINAL coolant TEMP SENSOR WITH A NEW OEM ONE! New cars have lots of sensors which can be good and bad. It's certainly not great though when a sensor goes bad and either gives a faulty reading or no reading at all which leads to bad things happening without you knowing until it's too late.
