A fuel injector can be difficult to diagnose because the symptoms it causes can be similar to a bad spark plug or ignition coil, that is, one of the cylinders is not firing. If it is related to a clogged fuel injector, it is most likely because old fuel has flowed through the engine, causing residue to get stuck inside the injector or its basket.
