This vacuum pump supplies the vacuum needed for power brake assist on the small EcoBoost engine. It fits the Ford EcoSport, Fiesta, and Focus with the 1.0L engine. A failing vacuum pump causes a hard brake pedal and reduced braking assist during normal operation during normal operation.
