The factory air intake tube is poorly designed. Conversely, the Mina intake is a consistent 3" tube. Jaguar XK8 & XKR Performance Air Intake Tube Pkg 1997 - 2005 models 4.0L & 4.2L. A 3.5" intake was never a consideration.
