Tech Note: Mercedes Benz vehicles equipped with M156 engines may experience check engine light illumination, idle speed decrease or increase, and a run rough and shake conditions. This is primarily caused by the poor quality of the material used to make the OE intake manifold center plate (throttle valve cable tunnel) which rusts through creating a hole in the plate.
