It is not unusual for stock plastic coolant to fill inlet to crack over time; Mishimoto has been designed for higher durability using all-aluminum construction replacement including a replacement cap. Our product is constructed and tested to ensure fitment for the OEM hoses and Mishimoto replacement silicone hoses.
