Call them whatever you want: weld fittings / mounting bosses (OE style) for GM Duramax Diesel EGT sensors. This causes the sensor to frequently break off inside when trying to replace it. Now you can simply weld one of these in place of the old one, or drill a hole and weld it next to the old one, then install a new sensor.
