This open area under the plenum chamber allows ambient air to provide additional cooling to the intake charge which produces additional power. This extra space also helps isolate the upper part of the manifold from the transference of engine heat. Like many of our manifolds, the Crosswind features nitrous bosses, four corner water ports and dual distributor holddowns. This is our best selling manifold for big block Chevrolet engines. .
