PLF6707 - 66-67 Pontiac GTO, Lemans, Tempest - Trunk Vent Tube. This is the tube that is located in the trunk of the car near the trunk lid latch. The function of this tube is to vent the gas tank filler neck. It is connected to the filler neck by a short piece of rubber hose. This tube is always rusted where it goes through the rubber grommet. This is a tin coated steel tube that has a copper lining and features the correct hose bead and the tube has the special crimp that allows fumes to escape but not liquid fuel.
