40 AMP Relay is required to wire this pressure switch from the ignition source. Do not hot wire this pressure switch, direct from battery OR from a constant 12V power source. Hot wire, direct from battery may burn the air compressor if there is any air leak in the system (Tank, Valves etc.), compressor will keep on cycling when the engine isn't running.
