The Ignitor II electronic ignition goes an extra step beyond the standard Ignitor for even more power and efficiency! It senses level of current in the coil and uses a powerful micro-controller to adjust the dwell to maintain peak energy throughout the entire RPM range. As engine RPM and operating conditions change dwell time is increased or decreased to provide more energy at higher RPM. This reduces misfires and improves engine performance. The Ignitor II develops nearly 4 times more available energy between 3000 and 5000 RPM and double the available plug voltage! The Ignitor II higher RPM performance is maximized when used in conjunction with the new Flame Thrower II super low resistance 45000 volt coil however the system is compatible with any standard induction coil.
